Story:  A message oriented tale, the story begins with professor Natesan (sathyaraj) who has a sympathy for Tamils and his statements tend to cause trouble landing him in jail. Luckily, his wife (sangeetha) is also supportive. The story takes a turn when a thirteen year old girl Punithavathi (neelika) arrives from Sri Lanka and takes shelter with Natesan. She is pregnant as she was raped by Sri Lankan army personnel. Natesan is helped by Dr CND (nasser) and a honest cop Anthony (seeman). To add to the woes, Punithavathi is detected with AIDS. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
Presentation:  The director has come up with a thought provoking storyline and while the presentation was neat, the narrative was fresh. The dialogues were serious, the script was written with good research and the screenplay was apt. Background score was good but songs were not upto the mark. Cinematography was upto the expectations. Editing was regular. Costumes were natural while the art department was suiting the moods. Sathyaraj has given a matured performance and carries his role well. Sangeetha was supportive and made her presence felt. The real show stealer was Neelika who gave a riveting performance. Nasser was natural, Seeman was effective. The others did their bit as required.
Conclusion:  The film is basically from an offbeat genre and it comes with a message to the audience. While the first half is somewhat on the lighter side, the second half gets serious and there is a lot of intensity and emotional drama. The technical values are good but the flavour of the film is more to the thinking audience. At the box office, the film might appeal to a certain section of the audience but commercial success is not that likely.
