Story: A love knit tale, the story begins with Rahul (nithin) who chances upon Priya (nithya) and falls in love with her. A few situations at the airport and an unexpected trip to Goa makes Priya also fall in love with Rahul. Both reach Hyderabad and here lives Priya’s brother Shiva (ajay) who is seeing his sister after three years and was once an obsessed lover who tortures the girl he loves. The story takes a turn when Rahul and his sister (sindhu tolani) discover that Shiva is the brother of Priya and are in a dilemma. Why this dilemma? What is Shiva’s background? How does Rahul make his love story successful. All this forms the rest of the story.

Presentation: The director has come up with a regular storyline and while the presentation was grand, the narrative was strong. The dialogues were sensible and simple with a wit of their own. The script was average but screenplay was the highlight. Background score was energetic but not all songs were that special. Cinematography was the major life for the film. Editing was upto the mark. Costumes were natural and stylish while the art department was suiting the moods. Nithin has come up with a natural performance and he has improved a lot. Nithya Menen is once again the show stealer, her smiles and her expressions make her very attractive and lovable. Ajay was another fabulous performer, he delivers his act in the right way and scores. Nagineedu was neat, Ali was hilarious. Supreeth was good. Sathya Krishna, Sindhu Tolani, Sudha Rani, Srinivas Reddy, Ravi did their bit and added value.
Conclusion: The film comes across as the tender romantic entertainer but then there are not unwanted emotions or silly dramatic dialogues. The entire film has been handled smoothly without any hiccups. While the first half goes about with the elements of romance, songs and comedy, the interval bang comes good. The second half has its share of twists and turns with few action scenes and comedy. At the box office, the film has it all to appeal to the mass and class audience so a success looks strong on the cards.

Story: A regular tale, the story begins with Surya (Ravi Teja) who runs a gym centre. He is in love with Meghana (deeksha) and her brother Sriram (sriram) happens to be a good friend of Surya. On the other hand, Surya enters into few tiffs with the local don Raja Goud (pradeep rawath) and Raja is waiting for a chance to take revenge. The story takes a turn when Surya goes to Saudi to be part of the birthday celebrations of Sriram who goes there for job. However, the Saudi police arrest Sriram on charges of murdering Vaishnavi (bhavana). Who is Vaishnavi? How does Surya deal with this problem. All this forms the rest of the story.

Presentation: The director has come up with a regular storyline and while the presentation was pleasant, the narrative was not that catchy. The dialogues were good at places and had a wit of their own. The script was average but screenplay faltered at few places. Background score was energetic but songs were not that special. Cinematography was appealing. Editing was required during the second half. Costumes were trendy and stylish while the art department was colorful and natural. Ravi Teja has come up with the bubbly performance and was all over the film, Deeksha Seth looks glamorous but acting is still weak. Rajendra Prasad was okay. Sriram looks handsome and does his bit as required. Brahmi gave few smiles. Pradeep Rawath was good. Brahmaji, Jayaprakash Reddy, Krishnudu, Dharmavarpu added in their own way.
Conclusion: The film came across with a good level of expectations given the names involved but then there was nothing different from the regular plotlines. While the first half goes on a lighter mode with elements of comedy and romance, it is the interval bang which brings some surprise. The second half goes about in a rather slow mode and there were not enough twists or intense scenes to keep the audience engaged. Overall, the film will have good openings due to the branded names but this could be an average to below average grosser at the box office.

Ghost 2012 hindi Movie Review

Movie Review : Ghost
Rating : 1.75 / 5

Cast
: Shiney Ahuja, Sayali Bhagat, Tej Sapru, Deepraj Rana, Julia Bliss, Gulshan Rana, Sandip Soparrkar, Tabrez Khan, Bijayata Pradhan and Others
Producer

: Puja Jatinder Bedi
Released Date
: January 13, 2012

Story: A supposedly scary tale, the story is set on the backdrop of City Hospital and this place sees a series of gruesome murders happening at the night. A young doctor Dr Suhani (sayali) begins to experience all this and she is not sure who or what is causing these killings. A top league investigative agency is roped in and its best officer Vijay (shiney) enters the scene. In no time, love develops between Suhani and Vijay but the killings don’t stop. Vijay takes this case very personally and decides to find out who is responsible. Is he successful in this or not forms the rest of the story.
Presentation: The director has come up with an age old storyline and while the presentation was alright, the narrative was lacking depth. The dialogues were regular, the script was written with loose ends and screenplay was weak. Background score was good but songs were there for diversion. Cinematography was worthy. Editing was not upto the mark. Costumes were natural while the art department was suiting the moods. Shiney Ahuja has come back and he gives his best to infuse life into the character. Sayali Bhagat has got this strange sexuality about her and she does her bit as required. Julia has less to speak but her makeup was not that effective. Tej Sapru was neat, Deepraj Rana was alright. The others didn’t have much to offer.
Conclusion: With the kind of technology and the excitement that audience has, the horror movies are expected to have many shock points and beat the bulbs out of the viewer. However, that doesn’t happen in this movie. While the first half goes about with the regular spooky happenings, the second half loses the steam. The key cause for that was the unwanted songs and the botched up romantic track. Of course, there are one or two good moments that give the jolt. Overall, this is a film which takes off well but doesn’t land properly. At the box office, it would be a below average fare.

Story: A mass masala tale, the story begins with the arch enemies Konda Reddy (dev gill) and Lala Goud (pradeep rawath) at a village in Warangal district. The enmity is due to a personal reason but it boils down to a thirty acre land in the village. Both Konda Reddy and Lala Goud own 300 acres each on either side of the 30 acre plot so they want to grab it at any cost. Buyers who come are simply killed. At this point, the owner sells the land to Ranga (sunil) in Hyderabad without revealing these details. Ranga buys the plot through his boss’s money. He gets to know the truth when he reaches the village. His only hope is Anitha (isha), daughter of Lala Goud who can convince her father. A series of events get Ranga close to Konda Reddy. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.
Presentation: The director has come up with a formula storyline and while the presentation was grand, the narrative was strong. The dialogues were sensible and simple with a wit of their own. The script was average but screenplay was the highlight. Background score was energetic but not all songs were that special. Cinematography was top notch. Editing was upto the mark. Costumes were trendy and stylish while the art department was colorful and natural. Sunil has come up with an excellent performance and he has taken his level to a new height. Isha Chawla looks seductive as usual and her smiles and eyes do the magic. Dev Gill was very good. Pradeep Rawath was effective. Ali and Raghu Babu brought few funny moments. Kota, Satyam Rajesh, Pragathi, Sudha Rani were there to fill the gaps.

Conclusion: The film is basically filled with all commercial elements. There is comedy, dance, action, romance and some sentiment in the right dose. Mostly, it is the pace of the film which keeps the viewers engaged. While the first half goes about with the elements of comedy and action with dance, there is also a slight track of romance. The second half continues with the entertainment factor and it is mixed with a dose of sentiment. The climax is worth the money. Overall, this is a film which has been made exclusively for the commercial audience. At the box office, the B, C centers will rock so success looks very strong on the cards.

Story:  A youthful tale, the story is about Arun (siddarth) and Parvathi (amala) and their relationship. It goes in Arun’s narrative as to how he met Parvathi, how he fell in love with her and also how he had a breakup with her. While each stage of his relationship goes through certain analysis, the one thing Arun fails to understand is, why the love failed. Parvathi from her end is going through an issue as her parents (suresh, surekha vani) are going through a divorce. So, who is at fault for the love failure? Is it Arun or Parvathi? Or both? All this forms the rest of the story.
Presentation: The director has come up with a regular storyline and while the presentation was pleasant, the narrative was excellent. The dialogues were good at places and had a wit of their own. The script was average but screenplay was the highlight. Background score was energetic but songs were not that special. Cinematography was top notch. Editing was required during the second half. Costumes were trendy and stylish while the art department was colorful and natural. Siddarth has come up with a natural performance and he is good at such roles. Amala Paul has that natural beauty and her eyes speak a lot. Ravi Raghavendar was nice. Suresh and Surekha Vani had an interesting track. Shyam was hilarious. Balaji was neat.
Conclusion: The film comes across with a negative title but then it has a rather positive feel to it. Though there were few negative scenes in it, they were handled with maturity and some humour was mixed with it. While the first half is filled with elements of romance, comedy and entertainment, the second half was filled with melodrama and some emotional overdose. Overall, this is a film which will appeal to the youth in a big way. At the box office, the film has it all to score a hit.

Rushi 2012 Telugu Movie Review

Movie Review : Rushi
Rating
: 3/5
Banner

Cast
: Arvind Krishna, Supriya Shailja, master Gaurav, Suresh, Ravi, Sanjay, Ranganath, CVL Rao, Snigdha, Solomon Pagadala and Others
Music : Don Chandran-Snigdha
Cinematographer : Tribhuvan Babu
Producer
: Ramesh Prasad
Director
: Raj Madiraju
Released Date
: February 10, 2012

Story:  A thought provoking tale, the story begins with the life of Rushi (arvind), an orphan who believes in speaking the truth without inhibitions and has a practical approach to life. He joins a medical college and it is here he comes across Pooja (supriya). From a distance, Rushi’s behaviour comes across as attitude but those who know him closer know his real truth. Pooja hates Rushi for his attitude but a sequence of events makes her realize his true nature. Love happens and before it could take off, an incident occurs in the form of the small boy Karthik (master gaurav). Incidentally, Rushi’s life has a strong connection with Karthik. What is that connection and how that changes their lives forms the rest of the story.

Presentation: The director has come up with a revolutionary storyline and while the presentation was pleasant, the narrative was catchy. The dialogues were sensible and had a wit of its own, the script was written with some valid points but screenplay faltered at few places. Background score was intruding but three songs were there for listening. Cinematography was appealing. Editing was required during the second half. Costumes were trendy and stylish while the art department was colorful and natural. Arvind Krishna has come up with satisfactory performance. He needs to groom himself further. Supriya was confident and she catches the eye with her natural sensuousness. She has shown potential. Suresh was elegant. Master Gaurav was cute and gives a heart stealing performance. The support cast did their bit as required and added value.
Conclusion: Firstly, the director must be appreciated for taking up a concept which is rather bold and offbeat. He has done good research on the subject before taking it up. While the first half goes about in a rather youthful and entertaining manner packed with comedy and romance, the second half gets serious and has a strong dose of melodrama and sentiment. Finally, there is also a message to the audience. Given all these parameters, the film cannot be tagged as a commercial potboiler and rated. But it is a film which is a must see for every genre of audience, especially the youth. At the box office, the film is bound to reach profit zone and all it needs is a strong post release publicity.

Story: A remake tale, the story begins with Shiva (Sudhir) who works in a courier office and is a mass candidate. He comes across Shruti (regina) in a train and falls in love with her. He lies that is an army man while Shruti who is an RJ at Radio Mirchi FM lies that she is an airhostess. When Shiva goes to meet Shruti, he discovers the truth. From then on, both try to corner each other. But in between that, Shruti starts developing feelings for Shiva. When the time comes for Shruti to express her feelings, the reaction from Shiva breaks her heart. She hates him and both part ways. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Presentation: The director has come up with an entertaining storyline and while the presentation was good, the narrative missed the mark at key places. The dialogues were okay, the script was written with some valid points but screenplay was not gripping. Background score was good and two songs were there for listening. Cinematography was the key factor for this film. Editing was required during the second half. Costumes were trendy and stylish while the art department was natural. Sudhir has come up with a confident performance and he needs to polish his expressions. Regina looks really pretty and her bubbly expressions catch attention. The actor doing Sudhir’s friend’s role brought many smiles. Vennela Kishore was hilarious. Rohini was loud. Kasi Viswanath was good. The others didn’t have anything to offer.
Conclusion: The film is the remake of the Tamil movie Siva Manasula Sakthi and though it comes from Kollywood, the nativity factor was maintained. While the first half passes smoothly and has the elements of comedy, romance and action, it is the second half that gets serious and melodramatic. However, at a time when the correct point has to be driven strongly, the director confuses with a conflict in character. Overall, the film might appeal to few mass audience and youth. At the box office, the film might be an average grosser.

Story: A touching tale, the story begins with Subrahmanyam (prakash raj) who is a middle class employee and works hard to make ends meet as he is a widower. Along with his job, he also does side business of selling pickles and borrows money whenever needed. He has a son Karthik (akash) and a daughter. Subrahmanyam puts them in costly school to give them the best of education and struggles a lot for that. However, Karthik is not interested in studies as he wants to become a cricketer. This leads to a conflict between father and son. At one point, Subrahmanyam takes a decision which changes the course of their lives. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Presentation: The director has come up with a message oriented storyline and while the presentation was good, the narrative missed the mark at key places. The dialogues were decent and well written, the script was written with value but screenplay was not upto the mark. Background score was good and only one song was there for listening. Cinematography was the key factor for this film. Editing was upto the mark. Costumes were trendy and natural while the art department was rich and colorful. Prakash Raj has come up with yet another riveting performance and he scores. Master Akash was competent and made his presence felt. Radhika Apte looks ravishingly beautiful, brahmi brought few smiles. The others like Tanikella, Gollapudi Maruthi Rao, Nasser were good. Murali Sharma stands out with his act.
Conclusion: The film happens to be a bilingual in Telugu and Tamil. However, while the intent of the film was good and the packaging was good to an extent, the execution was not that effective. While the first half goes off smoothly, it is the second half which tends to confuse the audience since it is not sure which direction the protagonist was pointing his anger. Overall, this is a film which is more message oriented. At the box office, it woulid appeal to a select audience so scoring a hit is not that easy.

Story: A remake tale, the story begins with two friends Venkat (sriram) and Nikhil (jiiva) who set off on the search for their missing friend Pani (vijay). A flashback takes them back to their college days when Pani joins Venkat and Nikhil and in no time all become thick friends. While the college head Virupaksha Sundaram (sathyaraj) alias Virus believes strongly in making students as bookworms, Pani believes in pursuing his own passion and understand the essence. Meanwhile, he also manages to charm Riya (ileana), daughter of Virus. Whether Venkat and Nikhil are successful in locating Pani or not forms the rest of the story.

Presentation: The director has come up with a remake storyline and while the presentation was good, the narrative was refreshing. The dialogues were charged up, the script was written with value and screenplay was prompt. Background score was good and three songs were there for listening. Cinematography was worthy. Editing was regular. Costumes were trendy and stylish while the art department was suiting the moods. Vijay has come up with an unassuming performance and steals the show. Ileana was sexy and gives the required glamour dose. Srikanth fits the bill and does his bit while Jiiva was another competent performer. Sathyaraj displays shades of Boman Irani in a big way. Sathyan was there for the laughs. S J Suryah, Anuya Bhagavath made their presence felt.

Conclusion: The film happens to be the remake of the Bollywood blockbuster ‘3 Idiots’ and the dubbed version of the Tamil film Nanban. Despite its familiarity, there is a freshness in the treatment of the script. While the first half goes about in the light hearted manner, it is the second half that gets emotional and with the required sentiment. Of course, those who have seen the original may not find anything different but this sure live up to the expectations of the remake. Though there is not much to talk about nativity, the box office looks promising for average to above average collections.

Story: Set on the backdrop of the 80s, the story begins with Shiva (jiiva) a young and hot blooded man brought up with ideals. His greatest influence is his grandfather (prakash raj) who teaches him to fight against injustice at all costs. But then, Shiva's parents (jayaprakash, lakshmi) don't want him to get into any trouble. The story takes a turn with the arrival of Priya (shriya), daughter of a policeman (Babu Anthony). Shiva and Priya fall in love and enters the villain (ganesh acharya). As usual, the villains do their best to cause problems to Shiva and how he handles them forms the rest of the story.
Presentation:
The director has come up with an illogical storyline and while the presentation was okay, the narrative was poor. The dialogues were good at places, the script was average while the screenplay was barely passable. Background score was okay and songs were not upto the mark. Cinematography was regular. Editing saw few scenes getting jumped. Costumes were natural while the art department was suiting the moods. Jiiva does carries the total film on his shoulders and he does his best to infuse life. Shriya looks pretty but she looked artificial at few points. Prakash Raj was effective. Ganesh Acharya was not used properly. Jayaprakash was a show stealer while Lakshmi was neat. The others didn't have much scope.
Conclusion: When storylines are predictable or hollow, it is important to have an engaging screenplay or pack it up with good comedy or entertainment quotient. Nothing happened here. While the first half is okay with the regular elements of comedy, romance and drama the second half goes completely haywire and in no time the audience begins to squirm in their seats. Overall, this is a proper masala film which has not got enough spice in it due to poor handling. At the box office, the film might appeal to hardcore front benchers but chance of success is very minimal.

Story: A remake tale, the story begins with a flashback from a diary and it is about Venkatadri (Venkatesh). He is saved in his childhood by Varadarajulu Naidu (prakash raj) and since then he has great respect and reverence for Varadarajulu. A situation comes wherein Venkatadri is sent as a bodyguard to Varadarajulu. However, Varadarajulu appoints Venkatadri as bodyguard to his daughter Keerthi (trisha) since her life is in danger. Venkatadri takes his job seriously and his discipline is not liked by Keerthi. She decides to play a prank on him and starts calling Venkatadri from unidentified number stating she is in love. After some time, Venkatadri sincerely falls in love without knowing it is Keerthi and seeing his sincerity even Keerthi also falls in love. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.
Presentation: The director has come up with an rehashed storyline and while the presentation was good, the narrative was not that intense. The dialogues were good at places, the script was written with moderate appeal and screenplay was steady. Background score was good and three songs were impressive. Cinematography was top notch. Editing was upto the mark. Costumes were trendy and stylish while the art department was colourful and rich. Venkatesh has come up with a balanced performance and he carried it well. Trisha looks pretty and very attractive in Sarees. Saloni looks sensuous and has that irresistible sex appeal in her. Prakash Raj was matured. Kota was brief. Ali was apt. Venu Madhav brought few smiles. Pragathi, Dharmavarapu gave the required support. The others didn’t have scope.
Conclusion: The film is the remake of the Malayalam hit ‘Bodyguard’ and it has been lifted and shifted in the right manner barring few fight sequences. While the first half goes in a mild manner, it is the second half which gets into some momentum. The last twenty minutes is the key to the film which scores. Overall, the film has been made with high quality technical values and it could have created more impact if the comedy was strong and the length was trimmed. At the box office, this will appeal to the family audience, ladies and those who like matured romance so above average returns are expected.

Review :

The magical combination of charismatic hero Mahesh Babu and director Puri Jagannath has come back again after a gap of nearly five years. The duo's last film 'Pokkiri'(2007) was a spectacular success and its remake versions in Tamil, Hindi ('Wanted') and Kannada too hit the jackpot in the box office.
The film has lived up to the pre-release hype. Strong point of "Businessman" is Mahesh Babu's charismatic presence and the dialogues written by Jagannath.
Mahesh Babu, whose 'Dookudu' has re-written box office records in the Telugu film industry, is not able to show the variety in his performance in the film. This is so because 'Businessman' has a single thread in the story and the director has focussed on that only. But the actor dominates the film from start to end.
Dialogues carry lot of punch and it is certainly difficult to resist clapping for
some of the dialogues. The film is presented very well with superb production values. Most of Jagannath's films have sharp cuts and "Businessman" is not an exception. The film has a racy narration.
Some of the flaws in the film are that it does not have any logic and story is too far fetched. Lack of comedy is another factor that can limit the film's large scale acceptance.
In fact Jagannath's previous films 'Pokkiri', 'Idiot', 'Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammai' and 'Bujjigadu' had such a fantastic comical narration that audience expect some funny situations and dialogues. But the director seems to have decided to take 'Businessman' to a different direction.
In the film Surya comes to Mumbai to become a don. He meets Chitra, daughter of a police commissioner, and tries to please her. Chitra falls in love with Surya without knowing his intention. He gets closer to her fo keep an eye on the movements of policemen.
Meanwhile Surya tires to be closer to an opposition leader and makes him win an election, which does not go well with the ruling party leaders. This leads to confrontation among the political leaders and also underworld.
Surya uses the situation to his advantage to become a don. What he does later has to be seen in the film.
Mahesh Babu is fantastic. He is the prime attraction in the film and remains so throughout the film. Kajal Agarwal has a small and cute role and she looks good on screen. There is nothing to write about veteran artists who have done their roles with ease.
Thaman once again impresses with his music. Camera work is top class. Overall, 'Businessman' is a film for Mahesh Babu fans. Watch the film for the actor's sheer screen presence and Jagannath's punchy dialogues.

Producer
: Anuya Mhaiskar, Uday Shetty, Sachin Awasthee

Story: A good tale gone bad, the story begins with four men – Sir [Naseeruddin Shah], Albert [Kay Kay Menon], Bobby [Atul Kulkarni] and Shakti [Ravi Kishan] who are a team and they are given a mission. If they are successful that will settle their lives forever. They decide to take it up and while they are on their way in the van, it is stopped by a cop (Rajesh sharma). He decides to take the four of them for his mission and that is to catch a dreaded gangster (arif zakaria) who is on the run. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
Presentation: The director has come up with an interesting storyline and while the presentation was alright, the narrative was bad. The dialogues were decent, the script was written with weak value and screenplay was not prompt. Background score was good and the songs were not upto the mark. Cinematography was worthy. Editing was regular. Costumes were trendy and stylish while the art department was suiting the moods. Naseeruddin Shah has given a natural performance but could have been better, same with Kay Kay Menon. Atul Kulkarni was apt, Ravi Kishan was good. Rajesh Sharma was nice. Shweta Bharadwaj looks sizzling hot. Zakir Hussain was not used to his potential. Manoj Pahwa was moderate.
Conclusion: As such, the film comes across with a very nice subject and given the lead cast involved, the expectations are bound to be double. However, the poor handling of the script and clichéd sequences spoils the fun. While the first half is spent talking about the four key characters, the second half gets into a predictable lane. Overall, the film could have been a lot better if the writing department was sharp. At the box office, the openings may be good but success is highly unlikely.

Story: A remake tale, the story begins with two friends Venkataramakrishnan (srikanth) and Senthil (jiiva) who set off on the search for their missing friend Pari (vijay). A flashback takes them back to their college days when Pari joins Venkat and Senthil and in no time all become thick friends. While the college head Virumandi Sandhanam (sathyaraj) believes strongly in making students as bookworms, Pari believes in pursuing his own passion and understand the essence. Meanwhile, he also manages to charm Riya (ileana), daughter of Virus. Whether Venkat and Senthil are successful in locating Pari or not forms the rest of the story.
Conclusion: The film happens to be the remake of the Bollywood blockbuster ‘3 Idiots’ and despite its familiarity, there is a freshness in the treatment of the script. While the first half goes about in the light hearted manner, it is the second half that gets emotional and with the required sentiment. Of course, those who have seen the original may not find anything different but this sure live up to the expectations of the remake. At the box office, it has success written all over it.

Story: An action packed tale, the story is set on the backdrop of Mumbai and here comes Surya (mahesh) to live with his friend (brahmaji). Surya’s objective is to create mafia and rule the roost across the city. For this, he uses the power of a local politician (sayaji) and eventually he builds a vast network of gang. On the other hand, Surya also falls in love with Chitra (kajal), daughter of the honest police commissioner (nasser). He uses his brains and brawn and eventually shakes the pillars of the central minister Jaidev (prakash raj). What happens after that forms the rest of the story.
Presentation: The director has come up with a predictable storyline and while the presentation was good, the narrative was intense. The dialogues were charged up, the script was written with value and screenplay was prompt. Background score was good and three songs were there for listening. Cinematography was worthy. Editing was regular. Costumes were trendy and stylish while the art department was suiting the moods. Mahesh Babu has given a riveting performance and he is all over the movie. Kajal Agarwal was sensuous and pretty wherever required. Nasser was natural. Prakash Raj was brief. Sayaji Shinde was standard. Brahmaji was alright. Shweta Bharadwaj was sizzling hot. Subbaraju was not used to the fullest. The others didn’t have scope.
Conclusion: The film has come in with a lot of hype and given the fact that Mahesh has scored a blockbuster hit with Dookudu, the expectations have doubled. But frankly, the film doesn’t have that amount of material to be called as a blockbuster hit. While the first half passes off with good pace and gives a decent feel, the second half slopes down and the climax part is not that great. Overall, the film runs purely due to the dialogues and the absence of comedy and entertainment is quite visible. At the box office, the film will have strong openings but it can be deemed as an average fare.

Story:
A remake tale, the story begins with a group of people- Charlie (abhishek), Ronnie (bobby), Spider (neil), Riya (bipasha), Bilal (sikander) and Sunny (omi vaidya). They are all talented and hatch a plan to rob a gold bullion from Russia. They are also successful in robbing the bullion but before they expect, a double crossing happens and they are betrayed. This gets the team to join hands with Naina (sonam) to locate the booty and also teach a lesson to the double crossers. Whether they are successful or not forms the rest of the story.
Presentation:The directors have come up with a rehashed storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was fast paced. The dialogues were charged up, the script was written with commercial value and screenplay was apt. Background score was good but songs were not upto the mark. Cinematography was top notch. Editing was regular. Costumes were trendy and stylish while the art department was suiting the moods. Abhishek Bachchan has come up with a different performance and makes his presence felt. Bipasha Basu looks super sexy and hot. Neil Nitin Mukesh was not that great. Bobby was not used to his potential. Sonam Kapoor was different. Sikander Kher was good. Omi Vaidya was apt. The others did their bit as required and added value.
Conclusion:The film is the remake of the Hollywood hit The Italian Job but then it is better to stay away from the comparisons. As such, the film is quite rich in terms of the visual packaging and style but then it is the content and screenplay which hampers the momentum. While the first half goes about with the layering of the plot, the second half is about the various twists and turns. Moreover, the length is a bit on the higher side. If it was trimmed then it would have created an impact. Overall, this is a film which is a major visual feast but hollow in substance. At the box office, this could be an average grosser.

Story: A commercial treat, the story begins with Fire Shankar (vikram) who works as a fighter in films but his dream is to become a villain onscreen. His life takes a turn when he meets the senior citizen Dakshinamoorthy (vishwanath) who is unable to bear the torture from his son Chidambaram (avinash) for a property he owns. While Dakshinamoorthy wants to donate the land to orphanage, Chidambaram wants to give that land to minister Ranganayaki (sana) and enter politics. In comes another bad man Mustafa (pradeep rawath) to complicate things. How does Shankar deal with all this forms the rest of the story.
Presentation:  The director has come up with a predictable storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was fast paced. The dialogues were charged up, the script was written with commercial value and screenplay was apt. Background score was good and songs were not upto the mark. Cinematography was top notch. Editing was regular. Costumes were trendy and stylish while the art department was suiting the moods. Vikram steals the show right from start to finish, he looks handsome. Deeksha was a visual feast and does her bit. The real showstealer was K Vishwanath who gives a riveting performance. Sana was good and sensuous, Pradeep Rawat was regular, Thambi Ramaiah was neat, Avinash was average.
Conclusion:  As such, the film doesn't have anything novel or creative but it is the way the film has been packaged and the performances that add great strength. While the first half goes about on a lighter mode with elements of comedy, romance and action, it is the second half that gets serious with various twists. Overall, this is a film which is meant for time pass entertainment and masala for two and half hours. At the box office, the film would require strong publicity to pull the crowds to the theatres.
